Designed to teach and empower people between the ages of 18 and 25, the paid, in-person Texas Scorecard Fellowship program This is meant especially for you if you’re keen to learn more about public policy, Texas government, and how active citizens might affect actual change.

You simply bring a strong moral basis, a dedication to conservative ideas, and the drive to work hard; you do not need past experience. Those who want to expand their knowledge, acquire useful skills, and influence Texas’ civic life will be sought for this fellowship.

😉 Select Your Track
Though they will experience all three, Fellows apply to specialise in one of the following:
✍️ Writing
Develop stories for Texas Scorecard with seasoned editors. You will learn writing, editing, and publishing techniques; by the end of your fellowship, you will be producing significant original work under the direction of professional mentors.
❚ Examining
Come explore with us facts, public records, and important events deep into their relevance. Discover how to do good research and sharpen your eye for truth-seeking and source validation.
✗️ Nonprofit Management
Discover the inner mechanics of nonprofit leadership. From legal procedures and operations to fundraising and budgeting, this track provides a broad perspective of what it takes to run a successful company. ( Available only in autumn and spring terms.)

Program Sessions: 🗓️
Applications for the following terms are being received now:
Summer 2025 starts in early June and finishes in early August; autumn 2025 starts in early September and finishes by mid-December; spring 2026 runs from early January until mid-May.
Every initiative is housed at our Central Texas headquarters.

Participants in the fellowship attend weekly seminars and meetings meant to hone their knowledge and professional abilities. These meetings address: Texas political systems and history.
Legislative process and bill analysis; public speaking and media writing; effective policy communication; strategic messaging and civic involvement
Throughout the program, fellows also get a $3,000 monthly stipend.
